Tell your readers, listeners, viewers! DO YOUR JOB! Stop hiding behind a pseudo-objectivity that increasingly resembles counter-information, if not outright complicity with a bunch of religious extremists guided by boundless racism and obsessed with profit!
The intense fatigue that overwhelms every sensible person who has to endure the words “anti-Semitism” or “anti-Semitic acts” being used indiscriminately seven days a week on the medias!
How long shall we have to remind (to no avail) journalists, writers, politicians, and the like that the word “Semite,” coined in 1781 by the German linguist August Ludwig Schlözer, refers, as all dictionaries repeat, to “a group of peoples of the Near East who speak or spoke Semitic languages in ancient times” : Jews AND ARABS AND MANY OTHERS?
Therefore, and what’s more knowing that, in terms of the number of victims of genocidal atrocities inflicted by one “Semitic” people on another ‘Semitic’ people, Israel is on track to break all records, for pity’s sake, let those who currently speak of “anti-Semitic acts” show a minimum of discernment, if not decency.
The words “anti-Jew,” “anti-Jewish,” “anti-Judaïc,” “Judeophobic” …or “anti-Zionist” ( !) are available, so why not try accuracy for once? Isn’t it a downright must for people who pride themselves on making words their profession to use them correctly?
Try to think the adult way now and then. I know it’s hard. Especially when you’ve been told over and over again that children you were and children you should remain. Over and over. « Children of Israel ». « Children of God »… « Enfants de la Patrie »… « Voodoo Chile » (!)… But just bear in mind that children are mistreated, children are starved (ask Netanyahu !), chidren are raped.
